Higashi Hidetoshi, born in 1960 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He entered the Faculty of Letters at Kyushu University in 1980, enrolled in the Master's program at the Graduate School of Letters of Kyushu University in 1984, and subsequently entered the Doctoral program at the same graduate school in 1986. He received his Doctor of Literature degree in 2000. Currently, he is a professor at the Faculty of Law and Letters, Kagoshima University. His publications include the monograph "Research on Ouyang Xiu's Classical Prose" (Kokusho Kankokai, 2002) and several papers such as "The Formation Process and Characteristics of Southern Song Editions" (Proceedings of the First International Symposium on Song Dynasty Literature, 2001).

东英寿（Higashi Hidetoshi)，1960年生，日本福冈县人。1980年入学九州大学文学部。1984年入学九州大学大学院文学研究科硕士课程。1986年入学九州大学大学院文学研究科博士后期课程。2000年获文学博士。现为鹿儿岛大学法文学部教授。有专著《欧阳修古文研究》（汲古书院，2002年），及《南宋本的成立过程及其特征》（《首届宋代文学国际研讨会论文集》，2001年）等论文多篇。
