Kazuo Kubota, born in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. He entered the Faculty of Literature at Waseda University in his early years, and later pursued studies in Chinese literature and history at the Graduate School of Literature, Waseda University, where he earned a Doctor of Literature degree. He is currently a professor in the General Department at Nagano National College of Technology. His monograph includes *A Study of Kaifeng in the Song Dynasty* (Kyuko Shoin, 2007), and he has published multiple papers, such as 'The Construction and Burning of the Yuzhou Zhaoying Palace in Kaifeng of the Northern Song Dynasty: On the Political and Cultural Changes from Emperor Zhenzong to Emperor Renzong (Empress Dowager Liu)' (in *Urban Prosperity: A History of Urban Life in East Asia over 1,500 Years*, Zhonghua Book Company, 2009).

久保田和男，日本国群马县人。早年入学早稻田大学文学部，后于早稻田大学大学院文学研究科攻读中国文史，获文学博士。现为长野工业高等专门学校一般科教授。有专著《宋代开封的研究》（汲古书院，2007年），及《北宋开封玉清昭应宫的建造及其被焚 ——兼论宋真宗到仁宗（刘太后）时期政治文化之变迁》(《都市繁华——一千五百年来的东亚城市生活史 》中华书局，2009年）等论文多篇。
