Victor Mair, Ph.D. in Chinese Literature from Harvard University, is a renowned sinologist and a professor in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a consultant at the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. He also holds teaching positions at various universities including Kyoto University, the University of Hong Kong, Peking University, and Sichuan University.
