PhD 1964, Harvard UniversityCheng Zhongying, a renowned philosopher and founder of C Management Theory, is widely recognized as one of the representative figures of the "Third Generation of Neo-Confucianism." Since 1983, he has been teaching in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Hawaii, where he is currently a tenured professor. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the English-language Journal of Chinese Philosophy (1973), and the founder and initiator of international academic organizations such as the International Society for Chinese Philosophy (1974), the International Society for the I Ching (1985), and the International Confucian Association (1993). As a leading representative of overseas Confucian studies, he has long been dedicated to introducing Chinese philosophy to the Western world, making significant contributions to bringing Chinese philosophy to the global stage.
成中英,著名哲学家、C管理理论创立人、被公认为是“第三代新儒家”的代表人物之一。自1983年起,执教于美国夏威夷大学哲学系,现为美国夏威夷大学哲学系终身教授。他是英文《中国哲学季刊》(1973)的创立者和主编、《国际中国哲学学会》(1974)、《国际易经学会》(1985)、《国际儒学联合会》(1993)等国际性学术组织的创立者与首倡者。作为海外儒学研究代表人物,他长年致力于在西方世界介绍中国哲学,为中国哲学走向世界做出了巨大贡献。
