Teaching academic & head of school at the University of Sydney (January 1967–January 2000): Postgraduate research supervision of MA and PhD theses.

(2) Secured US$85,000 per year for three years from Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for 0.5 senior lectureship in Classical Chinese Literature, and funding of University of Sydney part-time library cataloguers for a large gift of classical Chinese books from the National Library of Taiwan.
