Hong Yuru

Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo; currently a professor at the Graduate School of Sociology, Hitotsubashi University, Japan. Research expertise includes modern and contemporary Taiwanese social history and gender studies. Author of Modern Taiwanese Women's History: The Birth of New Women in the Japanese Colonial Period; co-author of The Legal Structure of the Colonial Empire of Japan and Modern Girls and Colonial Modernity: Empire, Capital, and Gender in East Asia. Articles published in various academic journals in Taiwan and Japan; translator (co-translator) of Postwar Taiwanese Political History: The Process of Taiwanization of the Republic of China.

You Jianming

Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of History, National Taiwan Normal University. Currently an adjunct research fellow at the Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica; formerly a research fellow and deputy director of the same institute. Research areas include modern Chinese and Taiwanese women's history and oral history. Published 7 monographs and over 50 articles; editor-in-chief of Research on Women in Modern Chinese History, Collected Essays on Chinese Women's History, and Unheard Voices II: Women and Society in Modern China (1600–1950); co-editor of 4 volumes on women's history with international scholars.

Chen Zhaoru

J.S.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor. Currently a professor at the Department of Law, National Taiwan University, and editor-in-chief of Journal of Women's and Gender Studies. Former chairperson of the Awakening Foundation and president of the Taiwan Association for Democracy and Human Rights. Research expertise includes interdisciplinary studies in legal history, feminist jurisprudence, and sociology of law. Recipient of the Ministry of Science and Technology Outstanding Research Award. Author of numerous journal articles and book chapters; editor of Debates on Gender Equality: Collected Speeches of Catharine MacKinnon in Taiwan (authored by Catharine MacKinnon).

Zhang Xiaomin

Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, Kobe University, Japan. Currently director of the Exhibition Design Department, Kaohsiung Museum of History. Formerly a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Taiwan History, Academia Sinica, and at the Humanities Research Center of the National Science Council. Co-author of The Invisible Colonial Margins: A Reader on the Marginal History of Japanese-ruled Taiwan.

Zhang Shuqing

Ph.D. in history from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan). Currently a professor and chair of the Department of Humanities and Social Medicine, School of Medicine, Chang Gung University, and joint associate research fellow in the Department of Pathology, Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Former visiting fellow at the Preparatory Office of the Institute of Taiwan History, Academia Sinica. Research expertise includes the history of medicine and public health in Taiwan, nursing history, and science, technology, and society. Author of dozens of research articles, book reviews, and translations published in Chinese and English academic journals.

Li Yuzhen

Ph.D. from the Department of Asian Literature and Culture, Cornell University, USA. Formerly taught at the Department of Chinese Literature, National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan); currently a professor and director of the Graduate Institute of Religious Studies, National Chengchi University. Research expertise includes gender and religious studies, Buddhist literature, and Taiwanese Buddhism. Author of Sacred and Secular Men and Women in Buddhist Literature, Postwar Taiwanese Buddhism and Women: Selected Works of Li Yuzhen, Buddhist Nuns in Tang China, and dozens of related articles. Editor of Religion and Women: Interdisciplinary Perspectives and A Comprehensive History of Taiwanese Buddhism.

洪郁如

東京大學大學院總合文化研究科博士，現任日本一橋大學大學院社會學研究科教授，專長領域為近現代台灣社會史及性別研究。著有《近代台灣女性史：日治時期新女性的誕生》；合著有《植民地帝国日本の法的構造》，《モダンガールと植民地的近代——東アジアにおける帝国・資本・ジェンダー》；論文散見於台灣及日本各學術期刊中；譯作包括《戰後臺灣政治史：中華民國臺灣化的歷程》（合譯）。

游鑑明

臺灣師範大學歷史研究所博士。現任中央研究院近代史研究所兼任研究員，曾任中研院近史所研究員兼副所長。研究領域包括近代中國與台灣婦女史、口述史學。出版7本專書，50多篇論文；並主編《近代中國婦女史研究》、《中國婦女史論集》、《無聲之聲 II：近代中國的婦女與社會（1600 -1950）》，與國外婦女史學者合編4本婦女史專書。

陳昭如

美國密西根大學法學院（University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor）法學博士。現任臺灣大學法律學系教授，《女學學誌》主編。曾任婦女新知基金會董事長與台灣守護民主平台會長。專長領域為法律史、女性主義法學與法社會學之跨學科研究，曾獲科技部研究傑出獎等學術研究獎，著有多篇國內外學術期刊與專書論文，編有《性平等論爭：麥金儂訪臺演講集》（麥金儂著）一書。

張曉旻

日本神戶大學國際文化研究科博士。現任高雄市立歷史博物館展示設計部主任。曾任中研院臺灣史研究所博士後研究員、國科會人文學研究中心博士後研究員等職。合著有《看不見的殖民邊緣：日治台灣邊緣史讀本》。

張淑卿

清華大學（台灣）歷史學博士。現任長庚大學醫學系人文及社會醫學科教授兼主任，林口長庚醫院病理科合聘副研究員。曾任中央研究院台灣史研究所籌備處訪問學員。專長領域為台灣醫療衛生史、護理史、以及科技、醫療與社會。研究論文、書評、翻譯等數十篇，散見於中英學術期刊中。

李玉珍

美國康乃爾大學（Cornell University）東亞文學與文化研究所博士。曾經任教清華大學（台灣）中文系，現任國立政治大學宗教研究所教授兼所長。專長領域為宗教與性別研究、佛教文學、台灣佛教。著有《佛教文學裡的聖凡男女》、《戰後台灣佛教與女性：李玉珍自選集》、《唐代的比丘尼》，以及相關論文數十篇。主編《宗教與婦女：跨領域的視野》、《台灣佛教通史》。
