    Wai-yee Li

    Wai-yee Li received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University. She has taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Pennsylvania, and Princeton University, and is currently a professor of Chinese literature in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. She is an academician of Academia Sinica. Her research interests encompass Ming-Qing literature and culture, as well as early Chinese historiography and thought. Her works include Enchantment and Disenchantment: Love and Illusion in Chinese Literature, The Readability of the Past in Early Chinese Historiography, Women and National Trauma in Late Imperial Chinese Literature, and The Promise and Peril of Things: Literature and Material Culture in Late Imperial China. This book won the 2016 Joseph Levenson Book Prize from the Association for Asian Studies. Additionally, she co-translated the Zuo Tradition with Stephen Durrant and David Schaberg, which received the 2018 Patrick Hanan Translation Prize.

    Mingde Xu

    Mingde Xu earned his Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Oriental Institute, University of Oxford. His research focuses on Yuan dynasty history and literature, as well as Ming-Qing publishing culture. Recent works include “The Cultural Politics of the Journey to the West,” “Wang Guowei’s Incorporation of Psychology into Ci Poetry Studies,” and “Xia Yunyi’s Death and the Narrative Strategies of Related Elegiac Poems in the Ming-Qing Transition.” He co-translated The Readability of the Past in Early Chinese Historiography with Wen Tao.


    李惠儀

    普林斯頓大學比較文學系博士,曾任教於伊利諾州香檳分校、賓州大學、普林斯頓大學,現為哈佛大學東亞語言及文明系中國文學教授。中央研究院院士。其研究興趣涵蓋明清文學及文化、先秦兩漢史傳及思想。著作包括《引幻與警幻:中國文學說情》(Enchantment and Disenchantment: Love and Illusion in Chinese Literature)、《左傳的書寫與解讀》(The Readability of the Past in Early Chinese Historiography)、《明清文學中的女子與國難》(Women and National Trauma in Late Imperial Chinese Literature)、《明清文學中的物情與物累》(The Promise and Peril of Things: Literature and Material Culture in Late Imperial China) 等。本書榮獲2016年美國亞洲學會所頒發「列文森書籍獎」。另外,她與杜潤德(Stephen Durrant)、史嘉柏(David Schaberg)合作英譯《左傳》,於2018年獲得「韓南譯著獎」。
