　《安徒生童话全集：全4册：汉英对照》是一部妇孺皆知的文学作品，它是由丹麦知名诗人、童话作家安徒生历时近40年创作而成。安徒生生前曾得到皇家的致敬，他用童话故事的魔力征服了世界，他的童话被译成150多种语言在全球发行出版。本书收录了《卖火柴的小女孩》《丑小鸭》《皇帝的新装》《拇指姑娘》等166篇经典童话作品.
　　在每篇童话或故事后面，作者写了一点有关作品的写作和出版的背景，以及作者个人对有关作品的体会。作者引了有关作品的个别语句来作为我的“体会”的依据。这样做的目的是为帮助读者更好地理解安徒生有关作品的特点及其创作意图，同时也给儿童文学作家及儿童文学研究者提供一些参考。安徒生的童话虽然表面上是“为孩子们讲的故事”，但实际上也都适合成年人和老年人阅读。作者的这些“体会”自然也可以为他们作参考。

作者简介

　　安徒生，全名汉斯·克里斯蒂安·安徒生（HansChristianAndersen1805~1875），生于奥登赛城，丹麦作家、诗人，被尊为现代童话之父、童话创始人。安徒生生前曾得到皇家的致敬，他的作品已经被译为150多种语言在全球陆续发行出版。
　　1949年，旅居剑桥5年的叶君健回国，时任文化生活出版社总编辑巴金向他约稿。1953年，叶君健翻译的安徒生童话《没有画的画册》出版，以后各分册陆续与读者见面。
